The Intelligence Study Centre has produced a number of publications either on its own, or in concert with other parties. Set out below are summaries of some of those publications. Please note that ISC does not accept credit cards for purchase transactions. Cheques or bank drafts are acceptable and should accompany book orders. Strategic Intelligence: A Handbook for Practitioners, Managers and Users – Revised Edition
The earlier 1998 version of this comprehensive textbook on the concepts, doctrine, processes, and applications of strategic intelligence and research has been updated and re-published in 2009 as a Revised Edition. The book focuses on using strategic research to study and illuminate issues relevant to planning and direction-setting in government and, particularly, in enforcement, regulation and compliance. It describes the process steps in detail to suit all strategic research and gives specific hints and examples of "best practice." The book also addresses issues associated with establishing, running and managing strategic intelligence activities. This is the benchmark reference book on strategic intelligence and analysis and was awarded the IALEIA Book Award for 2000.

Australia's Illegal Drug Problem: A Strategic Intelligence Assessment
A strategic intelligence assessment for the Australian Government, examining the total illegal drugs problem in Australia. The book considers not only the perspective of law enforcement and supply reduction, but examines demand-reduction policy and program models. It critically appraises government policy formulation and strategy setting mechanisms, making recommendations for future improvement of policy-setting models. The assessment also looks critically at law enforcement performance in the anti-drugs role and provides comment on areas for potential improvement, particularly in the field of intelligence activity.
